OUR HISTORY DATES BACK TO 1976

Mr. R.L.Toshniwal laid the foundation of the Company by setting up a spinning mill in the rural Bamboo forest town of Banswara. Since then, we have grown to become a vertically integrated textile company, specializing in the production of yarn, fabric and readymade garments. The garmenting units are set up in Daman and Surat. Banswara is one of the largest single mill set ups for fiber dyed yarn in Asia.

Over the years, we have forayed into several markets in over 50 countries including the US, UK, Canada, Spain, Germany, Japan, France, UAE, and Turkey. Banswara has won several awards for best export performance over the years including the SRTEPC award for 8 years in a row.

Constant product innovation has been a part of our culture, and we have a diversified offering in textiles and technical fabrics. Due to our diversified and highly specialised product range, we are able to service a number of highly reputed fast fashion brands.

Banswara has its own thermal power plant that generates over 30 MW of captive power for the mill. With sustainability being our core value, moving to solar energy is the next step for Banswara.

Currently Banswara Syntex Ltd is a public limited company.

It is a Government recognized Four Star Export House having IS/ISO 9001:2008 certification & IS/ISO 14001:2004 certification by the Bureau of Indian Standards

THE BANSWARA JOURNEY

1976

Year of incorporation. Started production initially with 12500 spindles.

1993

Set up weaving units for the domestic market.

2004

Started production of ready-made garments.

2006

Entered into first joint venture with French Company Carreman.

2007

Started first unit of 18 MW captive thermal power plant.

2008

Started production of Made-up's and worsted spinning.

2011

Started second unit of 15 MW captive thermal power plant.

2012

Entered into joint venture with French Company Treves SA for automotive textiles.

2015

Bought the complete stake in Carreman JV.

2016

Started a new brand SOGNARE for domestic sales.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

S. B. Agarwal

Mr. S. B. Agarwal has degrees in M Com, M A (Eco.) LLB, FCA and has been a pioneer in the Textile Industry. As the Group Executive President (Textile) of Grasim Industries Ltd. and advisor to Indian Rayon Ltd., he was responsible for the various textile units in India and South-East Asia. With 44 years of professional experience he works currently works as a Consultant.

D. P. Garg

Mr. D. P. Garg has studied mechanical engineering from University of Delhi and done a Masters in Industrial Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, U.S.A. Mr Garg is an Industrialist whose expertise lies in project execution and implementation & trading.

Vijay Kumar Agarwal

Mr. Vijay Kumar Agarwal is an Engineer and an Industrialist. His experience lies in all aspects of manufacturing and export of textile product. Mr.Kumar started manufacturing and exporting readymade garments in 1974 and is now the Founder, Promoter and Chairman of the Creative Group. His group entered the Indian market through its home linen product line under the brand name ‘PORTICO’ which is currently the leading player in the industry.

Kamal Kishore Kacholia

Mr. Kamal Kishore Kacholia is a renowned Industrialist who holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and Masters in Business Administration from Western Reserve University, OHIO, USA. His primary work involved projects in Research and Development for the US, Army, Navy, EPA, NASA etc. In addition, Kamal has been the Technical Director at NTB International Pvt and is currently the Chairman and Managing Director of the NTB group.

Vijay Mehta

Mr. Vijay Mehta, is a renowned Stock Broker and Financial Consultant. He is the Chairman, Managing Director, CEO and Founder of Mefcom Capital Markets Ltd, a stock broking firm. In addition he is also the Director of Jaipur Stock Exchange Association Limited. As a part of the Indian delegation, Mr Mehta was invited by the Chinese Government to explore trade opportunities with China in 2005. Being an astute orator, he has been invited by various forums to present papers on economic reforms and changes in the financial service industry all over the world.
